They will split under good times because they feel the environment can support more of its kind. Or they will split under stress to preserve the species.
In hariii's case, it was most likely due to stress from the move.
hmmm never knewe that.... maybe thats y mine split in the first 2 months i bought it.... hasnt split in the last 5-6 months though but noth are doing very well
I don't know. Read the description of them on this web site. They say" The Bubble Tip Anemone is known to "split" quite readily in the home aquarium, producing additional Anemones."
Two for the price of one. :jumping:
I have this question in the Anemone section as well but. . .
I've kinda had the same thing happen. I've had my BTA for about 2 weeks and a few days ago it split. Both looked really well. I fed them the next day and they both ate. Well now tonight it would appear that they are both splitting again. I know atleast one of them is for sure. My parameters are all perfect except my nitrates which never go over 20. I noticed this second split after my lights had turned off so i'll have to see in the morning what the damage is. At what point will they stop? I don't want a million sissy sized BTA's. . . STOP AND GROW DARNIT!!! My clowns will never host if they are 8 times the size of the BTA. hehe
