I just got a new Bubble Tip Anemone for my 65 gall. aqaur. and every time I put him somewhere middle to high up on rock, he drfits off and floats around the sand or gets stuck in a bad lighted corner.
Any tips on getting them established in a good spot...so they'll stay?
I was trying higher the better for more light.
Thanks

you can either hold it there until it grabs it or just let him find his own spot.
Even if you hold him in one spot he will likely move around for a while until he finds the spot he likes the best.

BTA's, as most anemones, prefer a deep protected cavity to set their foot. I have had the most luck with a large cluster (6") of giant barnacle shells. My duo of BTA's love it and have settled in for 2+ years without moving. They are in the lower left 1/3 of a 100G with 520w of 10k & actinic with medium flow. They seem to prefer a medium level of light. A pair of GS Maroons keep them fed and happy.

Do you have a pic of those barnacles, I plan on getting another BTA over the summer(when sumer comes), and id like a better place for my current bta to be situated, currently hes latched onta a good spot, but he doesnt have his protective crevice.

Many anemones will just move around until they find a place they like, no matter where you place them. I wouldn't try to move it yourself, but if you must, be very careful not to injure its foot.

You should put the anemone on the bottom first so it can adjust to the light and then it will move on its own.

or try putting it in a protected cave of rocks. your water flow may be upsetting it as well.
