Bubbles in Tank

Hi everyone,
Does anyone use a Back Pack 2R protein skimmer? Is so, does it put alot of bubbles in your tank? My tank has been up and running for 6 weeks now, and the skimmer is still putting bubbles in my tank. Even with the sponge in place, I get the same amount of small bubbles in tank as with out the sponge.
Does anyone have a good idea on how to keep this from happening, or is my tank still too new and the bubbles will go away with time?
Thanks for all the help.

I gave a nice sea-life systems back pack skimmer to Chevron Tang for her 30 gallon reef. I cleaned the heck out of it and once it was up and running on her tank it produced alot of buubles. But after awhile it stopped. Now I'm not really sure why. But Your spounge may need to collect some gunk before they stop.
I'm not framiliar with the skimmer you are refering to. But the one I gave her had a box. It was probably 8in long and devided in half. One side had slot in the bottom and carried the spounge. The other had the goves in the top and held the pump. I could adjust the spounge to the top or the bottom of the box and control some bubble flow. If the spounge was right at the discharge of the skimmer it cut down on the bubbles. If I pushed it further down(away from the discharge) it created more bubbles.CLICK HERE TO SEE MY REEF. :)
