Bubbles with Powerhead

Hey Gang,
i have a Rio 800 powerhead. If i connect the air tube into it to create bubbles. Would it help the O2 exchange?? I know the fresh water tank use bubbles.... any comments will be greatly appreciated.... thanks

I would agree that they increase the surface area,But only a little. A small bubble has very little surface area,You would need so many bubbles to make a diference that you could not see the fish.
