Bubbles

I am about 2 weeks into my cycle and I notice bubbles coming out of my sand and rock every once in a while. Not allot, just 1 or 2 here and there. Is this healthy? Is something growing? :notsure:

I would guess you have critters under there. My son did his tank with sand and after a couple of weeks, he had crabs and other small critters appear.

I'm just wondering if they are harmful bubbles releasing gas.

I have that too. I believe its part of the cycle. Nitrogen gas being released. I still have bubbles under the sand and i have a clean up crew in there.

It's my understanding too that the bubbles are gases being released from the sand. I was concerned about the same thing, but once the clean up crew was in that pretty much cleared...normal for cycling.
