Bubbly Algae and oops

What are people's experiences w/ Emerald Crabs and Bubble Algae?
I bought a rock a couple weeks ago that had some bubble on it but it had some really cool corals on it too. I figured my Emerald would take care of it. It hasn't. It completely ignores it - not even a sniff as it crawls all over it.
Soooooo - in attempting to remove it, I popped one of the zits today and accidentally back washed some of the the spores(?) into the tank.
Am I in for big trouble or is it a Peppermint/Aptaisia type situation where the Emerald will go after the little guys, but the big ones were too much?
Solutions - 'nuther Emerald or is there a kalkwasser for algae equivalent?
Thx,
Emil

When you do a water change use the tube to loose and suck the bubble algae up. Even if it breaks the spores go up and out with the change water.

Hey Spanko
The stuff has itself ensconced in some of my corals, which I'm trying not to suck out in the process:

Any suggestions on treading a little more lightly than the siphon hose?
Thx,
Emil

Don't get the wrong idea here but ..........um..........how big is your hose?

I use a hard plastic tube from the local wine and beer brewing store that is used to siphon wine and beer as my water change device. Great size to get at what you show there.
Tube like this with the black thing taken off the end and a pc. of vinyl tubing connected to it. The hard pc. allows me to direct it where I want to in the tank.

Well then - don't get the wrong idea here either, but I have three

I have one of the hook it up to your sink deals which is about 3/4" id. I also have a manual vacuum on which the hose is about 1/2". After that it's airline, which is a bit on the small side. The pic is about 2x magnification.
My primary concerns are:
1) I don't want to suck out the neighboring blue polyps
2) I already popped one of the bubbles (2nd from the right on the top of the pic. just underneath the "k and o" in "sucK Out" on my description) I'm positive I released some spores into the tank and am wondering what kind of trouble I'm in for as a result.
Is it ok to just burst them and suck out the guts? I got water ready - I'll do that right now...
