i recently purchased some secondhand live rock, at the time I didnt see anything wrong with it, when I bought it home and put in my tank small balls of green algae started to appear, its not spread to some of my other rocks, I heard that I can not pop it as it will spread more, but I cant really take it out of my tank now. any ideas?

Just pull them out. That particular species isn't as prolific as a few of the others but it will eventually become a PITA if you have nothing that eats it. Just pull them out when you see them.
Those polyps below the algae, are they on a mat or are they on runners? If they are on runners then that it the true invasive threat to your tank.

Emerald Crabs and Rabbitfish eat them.
The polyps directly under the algae in your picture. What are they attached to?
I'm trying to determine if they are Star Polyps (good) or Colonial Gorgonians (bad).
