I am starting a new tank and I want to get a jump on getting the bug population up before I put any fish in it. Should I just buy pods from here or is there a way to reproduce pods in mass quantities? Buying them from here is very expensive. This is why I kind of want to farm them. In the breeding forum there are instructions to raise pods for new born fish. Is this the same thing that I need to do? Any info would be great!

The pods you buy here aren't gonna be able to grow since they're different. Just buy a bunch of live rock and setup a refugium for them to breed. You'll find a bunch on live rock.

Hey BS21 is "They" the live rock. I am buying quite a bit. I got 150 lbs from here for a 60g. Is a 150lbs good/bad? I want a mandarin pretty bad and I dont want him to starve. Right now I have a 29g with a bunch of zoos, rics, and a couple of clowns. I feed my 29g a slurry of chopped mysis/cyclops/ squid/silver sides/brine. I grind 2/3 of it into a mush and then I take 1/3 whole and mix it together. Is this along the same line as DT's phyto. My long term goal is to get the clowns to breed and have a kick butt zoo/ric farm.
Livestock:
2 Clowns
1 Neon or Cleaner shrimp or both
1 Mandarin Green or spotted
A bunch of zoas/mushrooms/rics
My un-reachable goal is to have a tank like FLric's. Man that guys has the magic touch.
