build sump off silicone

ok so i got brave and built my own sump with the bubble trap I guess it's pretty good since i know nothing about measuring. now i just need to know what is the safest way to get the smudges of silicone off the glass please dont tell me a razor blade i tried that.

Razor blade is pretty much the only clean way to remove it.

Let it dry then scrape it with the blade. A little bit of rubbing alcohol will help get the remnants off.
