Build up in sump return lines.

Yesterday I had to change my sump out so I could work on the baffles. Refilled it started it up and the discharge ports shot a white flacks all over the display tank fallowed by protein skimmer going nuts! Still haven't got that running correctly... Having a hard time cleaning it up the mess. It came from the reinforced flexible PVC I use to get to the hard piping. Is that build up normal and whats the best way to manage it?

That dosent sound good Dave... What all did you do to your baffles?

Didn't have any so keeping water level steady was more work then I had planed. New setup will keep it equal set for the skimmer.
But yeah white flakey build up. Do I need to shrub my lines and if so how often?

Do you dose calcium?

Yes every other day right around 410 right now been trying to raise it up. From the 150 the river water is.

If I where to take a guess... and I am, I would say calcium build up
