BUILDING A FISHTANK STAND

I HAVE A 90 GALLON REEF TANK, ABOUT A MONTH AGO I BOUGHT A 180 GALLON GLASS TANK THAT I AM GNG TO MAKE INTO A REEF, I BOUGHT THE TANK ALREADY AND THE GUY THAT I BOUGHT THE TANK FROM WAS GNG TO BUILD ME THE STANK, THAT WAS A MONTH AGO AND THE STAND IS STILL NOT DONE, SO TODAY I TOLD THE GUY TO FORGET THE STAND AND GOT MY DEPOSIT BACK, I AM GNG TO ATTEMPT TO BUILD ONE MYSELF, DOES ANYBODY KNOW ANY PLACE I CAN GET SOME DIRECTION ON HOW I CAN BUILD IT, REMEMBER ITS A 180 GALLON, 6 FT LONG, ANY IDEAS WLD HELP, BOOKS, MAGAZINES, (BLUEPRINTS)

Many sites on the web have (DIY) pages,many with pics and plans.Try intltradeinstitute.com/reef.html (hope I got that right) Or you can search aquarium diy. Good luck, it's not that hard unless you go real fancy. STEVE

water is 8lb's a gallon. Not including the weight of the tank. The stand also has to sit flat and have level pressure for the tank to sit on ot it has a greater chance to crack. this will be a delicate process. Your tank will weigh more then 1200lb's.

use 2x8 wood and brace it good... I have made many of my own stands the key thing is to keep it leval...... good luck .... or go buy one from the net.
