building a wall for in wall tank

I purchased a new home that has an unfinished basement. One end of the basement is the washer/ dryer/ sink area so I plan to build a wall in front of that and build the aquarium into that wall. Anyone have suggestions for how to fram the wall? Should i but the fron of the tank up against the studs or drywall? What about a stand, should I build one custom for this? Everything behind the wall is not going to be seen as it will just be a small laundry room. Any plans or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Your going to want to build your own stand for this application. You are probably want to raise the tank off the floor more than the normal stand, say like 40 to 45 inches. I think the normal store bought stand is 30-35 inch high.
Don't butt the tank against anything, frame around it.
I would black out both sides along with the back of the tank, if its not a see-thru.
Get the tank first, measure exactly the dimentions, then build your wall
Heres a pic before I put the stand in the wall
