Built-In Overflow?

Ok, I'm getting a new 90 gallon tank, and can't decide between the regular or the one with the built in overflow.
Until I build the ideal sump I'll be running a friends lifegard system. Am I going to be able to hook this up to the built in overflow? Will the overflow keep up with the 1200 pump for the lifegard? Or should I just save $100, get the regular tank, and keep the lifegard system for free? How does the lifegard compare to a good sump for an aggressive FOWLR? Thanks for the help.

You should get the built in overflow. It should be able to handle the 1200gph without a problem. If it can't you can allways plumb in a valve between the pump and the tank(return) to slow it a bit.The built in is alot less likly to cause problems down the road.Plus there will be no hoses running down the back of the tank.

Built-In, without a doubt! You might also consider specifying that the overflow is in the center of the tank, in the event you have to move tthe tank to a spot where a side overflow might be exposed one day.
