burrowing royal gramma??

Hello all!!
I have a royal gramma in my tank, he's been there...oh I'd say almost a year now. A couple of weeks ago, I noticed him having fun around some of the smaller rocks that are situated in the front of my tank. He would actually poke his head out and seem to spit sand. Today I noticed that the little stinker has built himself a brand new cave or burrow!! I didn't realize that grammas did that!! Anybody else have one that's done the same thing?

i did not know they did that either till about 3-4 weeks ago i saw one doing that at my lfs pointed it out to the owner and he did not know they did that either go figure

Yeah they do! Thats why I got one! Mine put little bits of shell and stuff around the openning for "curb appeal"! It's so funny, I could watch that all day. ***)
