Getting ready to order and need some pointers. I am planning on getting a tang will either be a Scopas Tang or an Orange shoulder. Will be a last minute decision. Out of all the crabs and snails whats the best ones to get as far as hardest workers, ones that will work fast and consume the most. I have tried 4 turbo snails not sure what kind, they were all golfball size. Bought them two at a time, each time i lost them within days. All of my fish are doing great Clarkii, 2 chromis, sissor tail, clown goby, 6 line wrasse, 2 scooter blennies, sally light foot. Just need some thing to help out with the cleaning on sand bed and on live rock!! PLEASE help!

Dont mind pwnag he was just promoted to captain of the Tang Police. I have read differing opinions about scopas tangs being in a min. 55g or 75g.

I don't believe you'll ever find an "expert opinion" that says to put a tang into a 55. 75 is pretty much the bare minimum. a scopas is pretty similar to a yellow tang, so a 75. I imagine an oranger shoulder would need a 100+

Not many people could do well with a orange shoulder. That type of tang is hard to keep happy.
I agree that I would want a 75 minimum for even a Zebrasoma tang.
Its your tank though.

Sorry, forgot to answer your other questions.
Your snails sound like mexican turbos. I like cerith snails and nassarius snails as well as scarlet hermits.

cerith snails and nassarius snails, emerald crabs, red or blue leg hermits are good.
55 is too small for a tang. Any tang unless it is a baby and it will soon outgrow the 55.
Just not enough swimming room.
By the way how old is this tank?

check the ingredients of that product inverts cannot handle even the slightest amounts of copper or copper sulphates. I use logals solution a source of iodin for coral and inverts dont over dose be very careful to read directions fully.I have a site I use on a reg basis it list alot of differnt sand sifters and cleaning crews if you would like that site email me and i'll be happy to send it to you

calcium chloride, chromium chloride, cobalt chloride, ferric chloride, lithium chloride, magnesuim chloride, maganese chloride, nickel chloride, potassium chloride, potassium iodide, sodium EDTA, sodium metavanadate, sodium molybdate, sodium selenate, strontium chloride and zinc chloride.
It says on the bottle reef and fish only. The main reason i bought it was because i wanted to boost the growth rate of coraline algae, but from what i have heard calcium should be what i am adding.
