So last week, after moving some things around... I noticed a TON of this very small, but extremely shinny "flakes" floating around the tank... I thought at first they were pieces of cut PVC that I didnt clean out to well... Well I couldnt figure it out. They were so small that I couldnt even catch them in my net.. Well it took about a week for them to either settle at the bottom, or be caught into the overflow... Im not sure which one. So today I had to move my heater and noticed they were back!!! And I discovered they were from my new MarineLand Visi-Therm glass heater!!!! They are the little markings thats go up and down the heater in the Marineland logo.... OMG... has anyone else had this problem?

Get a titanium heater and end your grief with these people. I would never use a glass heater to start with and the marineland heaters are just bad news.

Yea I think I will now, I just bought 3 glass 200-250 watts for the tank, RO water Etc.. this is after I bought the Solid marineland, and when the water in the RO tank got low, the heater busted a crack in it (even though it was suppossed to have an automatic shut off when there is no water)
