Tonight, I did a water change on the 220 and another on my nano. Cleaned the algae on the big tank... first had to scrub then had to scrape. Finally, after all this was done, I realized by return pump was struggling so I took out more water, unhooked everything and cleaned out my return pump. Took about 2 hrs total.

So to all the people who have algae built up all over their tank, haven't done a water change in over a month and don't even want to think about their pumps...

...P.S. congrats on all the tanky-productivity. We're moving next week so I'm saving all the major maintenace for then. If I were wearing boots, I'd be shivering in 'em.

aaaaaactually, a REALLY AWESOME someone has decided to be my own personal Santa and send me an overflow that they're not using.

...so I'm going the plumbing route

...now I just gotta get me a pair of jeans that don't fit right and a big tool belt and I'm all set!
