butterfly tang

today my great aunt being the frivolous old lady she is offered me a free fish. so we went to my lfs and bought a lemon butterflyfish. ever since the butterflyfish got out of the bag the tang has been hanging out w/ him and now the tang has even changed colors to match him.
its funny cuz he hates the eels but loves the butterfly, is it becuz theyre similar or just cuz the tang is weird?

no, no eel, yet, and its no bs, hes doesnt quite match him but he looks pretty damn similar, he looks a pale yellowish white, he still keeps his stripes but theyre faded. im not sure but i think he thinks the butterfly is a tang and wants to breed, heck its my only rational explanation. next time he does it ill try to get a pic, theyre pretty short color phases but theyre phases all the same.

ok now its just weird the tang will go into its blonde color phase and will stay still and the butterfly will go under it diagonally and they will slowly drift to the sandbed, they have repeated this about 7 times now. r they trying to breed? is my tang THAT desparate?

Im sure they arent trying to breed there is no way... the tang is probably stressed which would explain the color change, and they're trying to establish "whos the boss" with the swimming by eachother and stuff.. good luck w/ the butterfly.. its a touchy fish
