Buying A New Camera

I am looking to get a new digital camera. What i really want i don't think is out yet. It is somthing that has rapid shot and 15-20min of audio and video recording. I think i have to wait for a camera like that.
I have a canon s300. I hate it. It is hard to use. I always have a hard time uploading pics. My girlfriend has a nikon 2500 that i love. I am thinking of buying that. or something like that. Somthing with like 2.0 meg pix to 3.5.
Can anyone recommend anything to me. I am not looking to spend more than $300-$400. Unless it is the camera i really want then i would spend more than that.

should have put this in to.
the main diffrence in the nikon and the canon that i have is that the nikon use windows xp to get the pics off the camera (very easy to do)
the canon uses the zoombrowser ( I am not very good with this program.)

Really! I thought cannon was supported by windows XP. Anyways I just read a thread from joejubee where ryebread gave this site that might help you. I hope this helps. www.dpreview.com
