buying a used RO system

Anything I should be wary of when going to look at a used kent hi-s filter reverse osmosis with deionizer.? The seller doesn't seem to know what the model gallon/day is, but from the pictures it looks like a maxxima 35 or 60. Also are these things difficult to set up? Per the manufacturers website they suggest getting a licensed plumber to install. Anybody know what the value I should offer is?
Thanks all

Yes how much does the replacement cartridge cost to replace and when the membrane was last changed. The major cost of the unit is the membrane if this needs to be replaced, I have a coralife brand and the membrane cost 80 to 100 to replace. Not sure how that model hooks up you see that when you go. I would try subtract the cost of the replacement cartridge from the retail cost of the unit then half of the that price. You'll find out that the unit is not worth much. Also how old is the unit and if it has o rings they also may need to be replaced.

you do not need a plumber to install an RO unit....
Unless your planning on pulling the feed from a pipe in the wall behind your tank and routing all sorts of lines and installing an auto top off; that is just ridiculous.
Get a "sink diverter valve" and thread it in to your kitchen/preffered sink. done and done.....
