Im about to purchase a metal halide fixture, the person selling it has had it for 8 months. Besides bulbs, should there be any detrimental effects on the light?
I wouldn't think so, 8 months is young for a MH ballast unless something was wired wrong or something. I have a MH ballast that I got used that has probably 20,000 hours on it (it was in a bank parking lot fixture), still doing the job
