i am going to take demartini's advise and get rid of my crab, see the thing is this is my first tank and i didn't know how much of a pain the emerald crab was gonna be he does awsome eating algea but im gonna get rid of him and if i have to ill get more hermits i guess is there anything else i shouldn't put in ? p.s. i kinda really want a porceline crab and or a anenome crab, possible?

i just bought a emerald crab today and he is in a bag in my tank now, waiting to go into tank should i not put him in ???? i have fish feather duster and scallop will he be ok with them

the main problem with emerald crabs is that they are in the habit of knocking over/disturbing perfectly placed corals. i had the same problem. in fact, I have en emerald in my 12 gal nano right now. simple solution....keep your frags in tupper ware or any kind of reef safe barrier so the crab can touch them. let him clean up your tank, however long it takes, take him back to your LFS, and place your corals where ever you'd like. good luck. they are annoying but easy to take care of.

IMO they're great. I have like 5 in my 65 gal and have always put them in my tanks. As stated, watch out for fragilely placed frags cause they can and will knock them over. But as long as you have everything setup securely you shoudlnt have any problems.

i got him from a friend that couldnt afford the hobby so i have no clue much about him just wanted him to have a home along with a star

i think the crab is staying after all he was just looking around the anenome for food he's kinda staying away for the anenome :notsure:
