Just thought i'd share my DIY project. Hope you understand it.
I have a 90 gallon RR tank and wanted a CL, but not break down the tank for drilling, thats a PITA.
Here's what I did. First I took out the return pipe in the over flow section and replumed it to have the return go over the side of the tank.
The open hole I added a new bulkhead and plumbed that to a pump. From the pump it goes up and tee'ed and to each side of the tank and in. I would like to get a Oceans Motion for this in the future.
Here are some pics. This is inside the over flow.

This is under the tank pump for the CL.

This is the plumbing under the overflow.

Just for ha ha's, this is my sump.

Hope you under stand all that.

Can you get another picture of your sump, and maybe a little play by play on how it functions. This looks interesting

This is the other side of the sump. The tank in the middle is a refuge. The pipe is water from the display. I have a MH for frags on the left. The return pump is on the right. The white tank is my top off. It's a 10 gallon tank and I dose kalk 24/7. I have my RO/DI on a timer so if I go on vaca I can just run it to this tank. I go away sometimes for 2 weeks, this makes it easy. All this is in my basement below the display.
