calcium for lr ?

I have 3 fowlr for almost 2 yrs..should I have been putting calcium in there for coraline algea on the lr..I have some on there now but was wondering it that would get me more..also would a particular light increase the algea.thanx

calcium concentrations in seawater is around 400-450. Corraline does use calcium so it might help if your levels are currently low. I use salifert calcium with great success. seachem also has a super concentrated calcium called reef complete that is really cheap online. if needed, raise levels slowly to keep from spiking your tank and crashing your alk, and ph. What lighting do you have now
