Calcium reactor question

I am setting up a 150 gallon reef and am planning on having clams along with my corals, I know a calcium reactor would be beneficial and make my life easier but is it necessary for the health of the clams and corals? :notsure:
Thanks

Not totally necessary, but they always help.
Try a kalkwater drip for topoff and see if that is enough to keep up your levels. Usually unless you're heavily stocked they can keep up, plus kalkwater precipitates a lot of things out of your water, metals, etc.
