Ozone is bad for reefs. O3 strips the water of to the usefull stuff filter feeders depend on. It is more for ick prevention.

I have the Aquazone II ozonizer, but have still not used it, I picked it up during the year of collecting the parts, and information on reef systems before going to my 90 gal. When I do hook it up to the protien skimmer it will empty into a large container of carbon to filter out the 03 leftover. I think that I will use it on a limited basis.
Unlike some people who use the UV light and wonder if it is doing there systems any good, from reading I know ozone will work and do what it is supposed to, but as you knwo there are warnings involved.
Therefore Plum70rt I can not tell you which system is better, I guess it's like asking which protien skimmer is better.
I assume you have enough information about ozone use?

Yes , Im just curious if many people use them and what types , I know that you can kill all your fish if not used correctly , and that its suposed to be better than a UV, a ORp monitor should be used and it should be between 300 to 400, and should shut off if it goes higher, is there a real benefit?
Also thomas what you think of a calcium reactor?
