First of all this is becoming my utmost favorite site and I tend to look here with my problems first.
now not long ago I had a huge red algae bloom in my tank and after checking my calcium levels they were 220 ppl now that they are 420 ppl the red algae is almost completly gone and my phosphates are at 0 and I am also learning that kawser is not enough. In order for the skeletal structures to absorb the calcium the alkalinity must be right and aragonite must be present. also a free ionic calcium must be used that kawser does not contain. At any rate I am thinking that when the calcium levels are in check it will help keep the phosphates in check also. What do think am I in line here?
