Calculating Saltwater Weight?

What is the best method for calculating Saltwater Weight?
I know 1 Gallon of Fresh water weighs approximately 8.34lbs @ 75 F.
So what does salt water weigh per gallon?
I want to buy an unconventional tank stand (TV Stand) and need to know if it can handle the weight of a 55 gallon tank.

At more than 500lbs all said and done, that's a BIG TV!

8.35 lbs per gallon multiplied by the specific gravity. Pure water has a SG of 1

I ended up going with a standard aquarium stand. It looks nicer than the TV stands I found and was cheaper.
