Calibrating a Refractometer

So I purchased a new refractometer online at a

[hr]
site I am sure nobody has heard of. The store on the site didn't sell the calibration fluid. I can't seem to find an instuciton manual online to figure out what I need to do to calibrate it. Do I need the calibration fluid or will RO water work or something else? Also how often do you calibrate your meter?
Thanks,
Chris

I use my RO water and check mine when ever I thing about it. Every few weeks or so. I use mine a lot.

For now you can use RO and calibrate it to zero or better you can use distilled water calibrate to zero. I picked up some calibration fluid I believe it's called PNPOINT Salinity Calibration Fluid.
