I ahve this system set up as well. It has worked excellently for me, and I have no more algae that what I had using distilled bought from the store. The only algae I get is a slight film on the glass every 2-3 days that cleans right off.

Just curious.. Are you using well water or city water? I use well water with the same system and if I don't change the filters regularly I get slime algae. Have you done a phosphate reading on your tank?

Pufferdaddy,
I use city water(st. louis). My Phosphates read O thats why I'm so frustrated. If the Phosphates were up then I'd have an answer.
If the silicate remover on the RODI is bad how would I know. I fill 5 gallon water jugs up with the RODI and have filled about 100 gallon total sence I've gotten the unit. This isn't a little out brake this is rather large problem and I'm affraid it is going to get worse. Thanks for you help.
