Does anyone know of any informative sites dedicated to puffers?
I'm talkin' pictures and all that. I just picked up a wittle iddy biddy small Stars and Stripes puffer. Mine has quite a few colors on him, green, yellow and purple. The LFS told me he was of that variety, but most of the ones I have yet to see are all big, and an ugly brown color. Info?

My buddy has one. They grow super fast. I remember when his was little. 6 months later it quaddrupled in size. Cool fish though. Good luck..

Green yellow and purple?? Doesn't sound like a stars and stripes.
Here's a stars and stripes:

does it look like that? If not, does it look like any one of these:

or does its body shape look like any one of those

Yeah bro, same shape as the latter two. Same exact "design" on the skin, mine has just a few different colors though. Pretty much a white base, with a few colors.

It is a type of toby, also known as a sharpnose puffer, not a stars and stripes. You may want to inform your lfs that they don't know what they're talking about. :) They don't get nearly as large as a stars and stripes does. Post a pic of him.
