ok, your boa got loose, in your house? in the yard, what is it you want to know? I used to have a snake and have a bit of experience. Please say what the problem is other than that he is loose. If he is in the house, set a humane trap for him, is he tame? More info please

Is he big enough to eat mice? If he is tame, catching him should be no problem. You can use anything to catch him. Tie a string aroung his food. a fish tank with a mouse and a cord tied around the mouses middle securely attatched to something will work. He will go for the prey but won't be able to escape once he eats it. Glue or securely tie the cord to a rock or something, anything heavy that he can't move will work. Snakes can climb, mice can't if it is a bare tank. Anything that the mouse can't chew through will work. After he eats it, and you catch him, just cut the cord, and you will have your pet back. ( thick fishing line works well.)

I am very glad to hear that!!!! Snakes love to escape, so make sure you have a tight fitting lid. I had a burmese python. He was a sweetie. He was allowed to cruise on the couch, but not on the floor. You would be surprised how fast a snake can move if he wants to!!!!! good luck!

when a snake gets loose especially pythons and boas always always look for a heat source. they will go there. anything you have running constantly that produces heat they will wrap up there ie refrigerator.

ask and ye shall receive i avae been keeping herps for almost 20 yrs now and have dealt with many loose snakes places to always look are behind fridges inside closets usually hidden in lots of clothing
the most humane trap i have ever come across and it has worked perfect for me on many occasion is to place a live mouse inside of a box with holes in it so that his scent is readily available and all the way around the box about 1.5-2ft out create a square using MASKING tape upside down so the sticky side is up using pieces of tape the regular way to help hold it down ( the reason i stress masking tape is i ahve seen this trap made using things like duct and electrical tape both have very sticky glues and u may end up harming ure snake)
all he needs to do is crawl across one part of it and he will get stuck and end up fighting so much he will wrap himself up in the tape being masking tape it is very easily removed with just a mild soap and water solution
HTH and happy herping

Several years ago I was moving across country with my python. He was a baby then. We stopped in to a hotel for the evening. When we awoke the pilow case was empty...... I was a wreck becuase we couldn't stay there for much longer. As a last thought we checked the sink. There was nothing blocking the drain (it was a cheap hotel) he actually slivered down the drain and was resting comfortaby in the pipe under the sink.
