In what is almost a tear-jerker, Papa John Schnatter has been reunited with beloved Camaro. As the story goes, in 1983 Papa John sold his first car, a 1971 1/2 Bumblebee gold and black stripe Camaro to help save the family business, and help start what we know today as Papa John's.
Since the mid 90's John has been in search of his car. In May jalopnik.com posted the story, and a blogger contacted them through facebook thinking he might have found the car. And sure enough the car turned out to his, albeit, a bit modified, now a full blown drag racer, 9.55sec 1/4mi at 141mph. John first offered $25,000 for the car, but upped the amount to $250,000.
So as a bit of celebration between Papa John's and Jalopnik, every Camaro owner that goes to a Papa's John's restaurant, will get a free large one-topping pizza. No word on the finer points of the deal, like if you just can go to multiple restaurants with the same Camaro. Details;

Papa John's wasn't my favorite pizza chain, but realizing now what the car-guy John is, the pizza just tastes a lot better now
