Camera Filters

Does anyone use filters on their camera's when shooting their tank? If so which ones? I see some amazing pictures here and I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong to get some of those stunning pictures. I've ordered a macro lens for my Nikon 4500 which currently takes some decent macro shots but i'm hopeful that the new lens will put me right there. I'm just wondering if filters might be the way to go.
Thanks,

I dont use them. Dont know any thing about them. I use a cheap Kodak DX4330 and the close up setting. Still have to take 10 shots to get one good one though. Main thing is a steady hand, prop the camera on something to hole it still. A good photo program helps to as far as brightness and color balance, ect. Post some of your pics. They might not be as bad as you think. Heres one of my best.
