Rebel XT would be even cheaper then the XTi and for just starting out your never going to notice the few subtle changes between the two. Dont get stuck on MP they mean absolutely NOTHING.

every rebel XT i find is just the body with out the lens anything for 500 with a lens

bhp is one of the more reputable of the online stores as well

Just be carefull when order camera equipment online, if it looks like a killer price, it's probably a scam. Also check out amazon . com thats where I've gotten all my equipment. Might also look into the Nikon D40, incredible camera and you can get the kits body, lens, tripod, case, covers for $500
