camera suggestions

Ok I am looking for a new camera and figured this was the best place to ask.
I know this has been asked before but with everything the technology changes and so does suggestions.
So I am looking to spend 250$ or less for a good camera that will have macro settings and take good quality pictures.
I have been looking at the kodak easy share models but I an at a lose as to which is what and all. nut am open to any suggestions on different manufactures and models
So let the suggests start LOL

kodak 612,,,awesome camera for the money...6.1 megapix 12x optical zoom and image stablization....just dropped in price at best buy. I love mine

That was one of them I was looking at they*best buy* has it online for $329 but I did find it online at a different store for 280$ with free shipping so its a possibility.

I went and look at the z650 today and for the price to me it should have a battery charger so I passed on it. still looking if anyone has any suggestions. '
I am going to look at the kodak 612 this week got to travel to get somewhere that has them in stock. LOL

my 612 can take about 250 pics on a single charge. then it only takes about 1.5-2 hours to charge it back up...

I ended up getting a kodak Z710 so far its taking pretty good pictures.
i dont have the saltwater tank up and going yet so here are a couple others that I took with it.

I really like the kodak p880, takes great pics.
I never figured I would buy a kodak but this thing is great, it was 300 bucks a couple of months ago (on sale) not sure what they are now but cant say enough about the camera! Great bang for the buck!
