My work is giving me a camera for an award. I get to choose from:
Canon S3
Canon A630
Sony DSCNZ Cyber Shot
Don't know much about digital cameras which is the best?

I say go for the Canon S3..I am assuming this is the S3 IS

Oh yes if it is the S3 IS do get it. I just bought this camera and let me tell you it is just fabulous. You would think you have a full size SLR, there are more features than one will ever use and it will last you a life time.
I am still learning on mine and have a looong way to go but it is a beauty.

I absolutely love the S3...I don't know a THING about the others but I took a picture that was chosen out of hundreds of others for a recognition basically the first day I used it. And I had no real idea what I was doing!!
Took the pics below with the stock camera and, again, little idea what I was doing:
