Can 2 clown species interbreed?

I read in a post a few days ago, someone said they had a percula and an occellaris that were mated. I was just wondering, that if they spawn, would the eggs actually be fertilized and produce live offspring?

Don't want to hijack your thread, but I've got a pair of clowns. I'm starting to think that one is perc and one an occelaris. I don't care if they ever spawn, but I would like to know if they will co-exist peacefully. Also will one still become female? I;ve had them a few weeks and they hang around each other all day, but at night they usually find there own sleeping places.

I bet it was one of my posts. Yes, it can be done...but only because a percula and ocellaris all originated from percula. Maroons and perculas probably wouldnt pair up, they'd probably kill each other. But YES, mine do lay eggs, and CAN produce offspring, but I dont have the money to raise them, so I just let the fish eat them...they LOVE them!

So far I've heard of....
maroon x ocellaris
tomato x ocellaris
percula x ocellaris
ocellaris x B/W ocellaris
But I'm sure there's others I haven't seen or haven't yet been bred.

That's cool. I had no idea this was possible. If anyone has any pics, I would love to see them. Thanks. Bro.

Holy crap are those cute!!
I have a clarkii and an oscellaris. The get close and do the shakes, but still reside in two seperate hosts and don't fight. I stare at them for hours hoping they would at least pair. The clarkii is the female. Maybe one day...
