Hello every one!
I bought a rose bulb tip anemone about a month ago hoping that my Gold strip maroon clown would host it. My clowns hosted the bta within the first 2 days and the bta didnt seem to mind. Then about 3 days ago she deflated and hasnt looked the same since. My maroon clown seems to be really rough with it and i was reading in another thread and someone mentioned that a clown can abuse an anemone and kill it. Im not entirely worried about it i would be nice to have some input on the subject. Any feed back is greatly appreciated! My water perimeters are just right, and i am running (2) 48" T5 HO 54W 420/460 (2) 48" T5 HO 54W 10,000k daylight and (4) 1w lunar led.55G

from my experiance, yeah they can love the anemone to death..lol, especially maroons because they can be pretty big. The anemone needs to be big enough to easily fit whoever is hosting it, which is quite hard to find without breaking ur budget so hopefully the nem can grow enough to take the beating if it is little. Also everyone is gonna ask how old your tank is. I made the mistake of getting an anem 3 months into my tank, perims were all good and it still died within a week. Your lighting and everything looks alright so hopefully ur nem makes it..goodluck!

My anemone is about 6 inches across when fully opened. The Clown is just starting to get the gold coloring in his bands. So he isnt too big but will still grow alot. And i have had my tank set up since march 2010 so right around 10 months. i think im going to set up a 10 gallon and put my clown in there for a little while until my anemone can get fully established and grow a little bit... Thanks

yea thats probably the best idea. Even if everythin is perfect tho theres still a chance of it dying, but goodluck and update in the future. feeding it about twice a week will also help it grow a little faster to try to keep up with the clowns growth
