Can a dersea(sp?) clam live in my 10 gallon nano reef?

I've heard they do well under PC lighting. My lighting is 1x36w daylight and 1x36w actinic.

With prestine water conditions and the tank is 6months old, no lower, a clam should do fine, be very careful not to buy one without a small disc attached to the bottem. When taken from the reef, they are sometimes pulled off the rocks, and there disk is lossed, and they slowly die. Make sure that the mantle and clam is active, do not buy a clam numb to movement or sound.

The tank itself has been up for about 3 weeks but the water and lr came from my 60g which has been up for 7 months. What does this disc on the clam look like(color, size, etc)?

I am not sure what the disc looks like, I guess a disc... dresa clams can get up to a ft. long, and 5in in diameter, and clam will probably outgrow that tank. Clams such CA out of the water, and every water parameter must be perfect, stronium, trace ellements, calcium, and phytoplankton must be added to the tank throught the life of the clam.

36WATTS IS NOT ENOUGH LIGHT!!!!!!
Derasa clams don't need to have a rock attached to the bysus (foot) they rarely attach. Maximas and croceas, this is far more important. But, in a healthy envirnment, even if the foot is torn off they can regrow the bysus.
