actually im fairly certain inverts is where the line is drawn and it becomes a reef.. i dont see what the difference is though.. get whatever kind of tank u like the most though

Yes you can do that and probably should do it. It will help with the biological processes in a FO tank just as well as in a reef tank. You can add inverts like crabs and shrimp depending on which type of fish you keep as well. It still wouldn't be a reef tank unless you started to add corals and stuff.

Yes, I recommend the lr and ls. Be careful of the inverts. Make certain your fish won't eat them.
