Can an anemone kill an yellow tang

I am posting this for my brother as he does not have internet, so I do not have ALL info, but he just bought BTA and acclimated him last night. Later that evening he fed all fish, and the yellow tang ate and was acting as normal. He said he came downstairs later that night, and his tang was laying on the sand breathing heavy, and then by morning was dead. He asked me if the Nem could have killed his tang, but I am not sure.
I figured the best place to ask was this forum as there are many experienced aquarists out there who will know if it could have been the Nem. He has a `125 reef tank up for 1 year, and has had his yellow tang for 6 months. I did not ask his specs but all other fish seem fine, no other dead loss, and nothing has changed in his tank except for the addition of the BTA.
Thanks

A BTA could kill a tank, but in a 125g i doubt thats the problem, depending on the size, the BTA would have prabably tried to eat the fish.

I doubt the anemone ate the tang. It may have stung it, but even that is doubtful. Most fish, especially tangs which are wild caught, know to stay away from anemones.

Thanks everyone...
The tang was medium sized, and the BTA was really small. Fresh from the store, so it was only a few inches across. I dont think the BTA would have thought the tang was a meal, but who knows. I will tell him to check his parameters, as something could be awry, but who knows... Poor fish!!
