Can annenomes sting eachother?

i have a HUGE curly q annenome, and i want to buy a pink tip haitian annenome. is this a bad idea? i was thinking of trading the CQ in at the LFS, should i do this before getting the PTHA?

I don't know if they can sting each other, but if you have two different types they can have chemical warfare.

They release chemicals into the water to fight, and eventually one of them will die.

Generally same species anemones will not sting each other, but different species will.

yeah ive seen at the lfs how they will sometimes have 3 or 4 of the same kind in a tank, and i figured there was a reason there werent other kinds. of course, my lfs only sells CQ's (mine hitchiked on LR) and aiptasia.
