have you tested your nitrates or your phosphates....I also used a phosphate pad.
they are slightly elevated but not out of control.

With a 180g you might have to do some rather large water changes. I would start doing some 30-40g water changes every 2-3 days and make sure you leave it inside this time. It maybe something from outside that got in that water since it was uncovered. IMO it has to do with that water that was left outside. Cant do a full water change without effecting something or killing your ray. Its going to take several water changes to clear that up.
