hey everyone.
so here is the problem. i am making a powerpoint on an irish author FRank O'Connor.
now i have to have a slide of which age he lived in.
BORN 1903
DIED 1966
now i know of the victorian and the romanticism (romantic) age idk which one lol its not either of those from whati know
im not sure how to google this one..
if anyone could help me out it would be great!
thanks

I would say neither. The Victorian era ended 1901 and the Romantic era was before then. By the time he was around and thinking ... maybe something like realism? I don't know, I'd keep looking elsewhere than the two you mentioned.

Modernism or Post Modernism
The former generally through 1925ish, the latter into the 50's, give or take, dependent on author's style.

thanks, this helped a little bit

now i looked them up and they dont give a range of dates when it started and ended.. is it not possible to give specific dates?
the dates are all over the place.
my next step after finding which era/age they lived in is to give a briefing on what was happening in this era/age..

Art History is fuzzy, particularly in the 20th Century. Not because it's indefinable, but because it's recent enough that the transition is blurry.
It's not even so clear in the past. Define the transition from Baroque to Rococo, Impressionism to Expressionism, as examples. On what date did the Rennaisance start? There is no single date one can point to for any of them.
I realize you're talking about literature, but the differences are slight, and ill defined.
I'd say, define it as you will and stick to it. Even the experts disagree.
