it may just be a hermit or something like it, but i looked through the crab inventory on the site, and i couldnt find anything like it. i payd $10 for him, and hes realy booring. he hasent moved very much, but hes still alive. he stays in the same place all the time. any info on the crab would be greatly apreciated

no, don't feed them anything....they will scavenge for leftover food and pick at algae......mine are very active.....it's possible it could be molting or just resting...they do that often too

There is a difference here.
Blue leg Hermit Crab - Phimochirus operculatus, is around a dollar....and may grow to 1 inch.
Marshall Island Electric Blue hermit crab - Calcinus elegans, is around 7 dollars and above....and may grow to 2 inches.

Well depending on how knowledgeable your lfs is....or the employee that sold it to you....you may have gotten a Electric Blue hermit crab instead of a regular blue leg hermit.
