It looks man made, but can't be. I thought at first it was on the outside of the tank. Could it be snail eggs?

Nudibranchs deposit their eggs in a spiral, as viewed from above and starting from the centre and working out.The spirals are of the Archimedes type, that is, with equally spaced whorls.

May be nudibranch eggs
