can anyone tell me what this is ? my flaming scallop is leaving a sticky stringing thing on the glass everywhere in my tank. It clear and about a inch long and it looks like string and it sticks to the glass. the scallop looks to be fine and is all over my tank (55 gal) is this normal ?

thats like the roots of the scallop. they will stick them to help them stay in one spot. Ive never seen one which puts them all over the glass, mabye a little bit until it decided to stick to the rock. but i dont think its anything to worry about. just an odd scallop
