Can anyone tell what happened to my Gramma's Tail?

I noticed that my Gramma's Tail is not solid like it was when I brought him home. I can't tell if his tail is rotting or if he got in a fight. Anyone wanna venture a guess?

I would say he got in a fight. I doubt it would be wrotting off

LOL well I wouldn't say all those really. Only one other fish but several other critters.
I did see the gramma trying to pick a fight with the Porcelain Crab the other day after I rearranged my rockwork and he was tring to hide where the crab was trying to feed but I would have thought he would have had a wound near his face cause that is the end the gramma was usin to try and eat the crab with.
I guess the crab won out after all.
