Can Filter W/o Carbon???

i was trying to clean my carbon bag and it busted on me.
will it effect my filtration if i had my filter running without carbon for 1 day?

Most people only run carbon for a day or two once a month and with out it the rest of the time...
Some will run it 24/7 all the time...
The belief is that carbon is only effective for a short period of time (1-2 days) to polish water and remove organic toxins and then doesn't do much after that...
So having your carbon OUT for a day or two will not affect anything...
